Lots of kids = we need your help!

Erik Anderson   -

Here are some of the ways that I’ve seen God moving in our church recently. On Easter Sunday we had over 80 kids attend and hear the good news of Jesus as their savior. That doesn’t even include babies!

But it’s not just on Easter that we have a lot of kids. On the average Sunday in our 10:30 service, we usually have between 20 to 30 children who are being cared for and discipled in our kids’ ministry. Some Sundays, we see as many as 45 kids, and that’s when we start feeling how small our Sunday school rooms are!

This is incredible news, because churches that take care of young people, whether that be young singles, young families, or teens, are the churches that are investing in the future of the body of Christ.

It’s a beautiful thing that New Life is one of those churches.

But all these kids and teens who are a part of our church family need mentors to help guide them on their journey!

That’s where you come in.

We’re starting to get preparations going for our summer VBS, held July 23-27. We are praying that God brings 100 children to our VBS program. But that means that we need to have adult volunteers in place to make sure that we are prepared and ready to welcome them and show them love.

Will you consider volunteering?

VBS volunteers range from small group leaders during the actual event, decoration helpers before the week starts, tech volunteers, game leaders, craft helpers, supplies shoppers, and a myriad of other roles.

Some volunteer positions need to be available during VBS to interact with the families and kids. Other roles are only needed in the weeks leading up to the event to help get everything prepared.

So please, send me an email to let me know you’re willing to help and what you might be interested in helping with. If you’re not sure, I can connect you with the right role!

Excited for VBS,

Erik
