Fun Crafts
Kids need to learn in a variety of ways, by listening, repeating, and using their creativity! Our VBS is designed to engage all types of learning styles so that your kid can truly be impacted by the message of Jesus.
Loving and Safe Environment
We love kids at New Life! Our biggest priorities are: Jesus, safety, and fun. All of our leaders and helpers are background-checked, and we make sure to equip parents for ongoing conversations with their kids about what they are learning in the Bible.
Common Questions
New Life’s VBS is open to all children ages 3-11 (pre-K through entering 5th grade).
New Life’s VBS is free for everyone, thanks to the generous donations of New Life Lutheran Church.
Our daily schedule begins at 5:30pm with free dinner for all registered kids, and then we’ll have an assortment of songs, Bible lessons, crafts, games, and memory makers with their groups. Your kid will be so excited to tell you all about it on the drive home!
VBS is solely for children. All adults on the property are volunteers who have been trained and background-checked. If you would like to volunteer, register to join our team by June 9th.
You will drop-off and pick-up your children each day in the main atrium at New Life Lutheran Church: 702 W Lynn Blvd, Sterling IL.
Children are required to wear their nametag every day. They should also wear clothes and shoes that have a back and can get wet.
Have your child wear a bathing suit under their clothes every day of VBS. There is no time to change into a bathing suit once the day begins! If your child is not wearing a bathing suit, their clothes may get wet.
Your child can bring a towel BUT will be responsible for it and also have to carry it each day.
